Team BillaBillz Accounting Services ready to walk for grandpa Abe

It was early for those of us who enjoyed a bit of the night life on Friday evening, but that did not stop a significant number of people from coming out to Howard Amon Park on Saturday morning to support the American Diabetes Association and its program, “Step Out, Walk to fight Diabetes”.

Local corporations had teams of walkers who collected donations that were matched by their employers. ConAgra Foods of Kennewick also donated lunch to the crowd. Veronica Salazar of BillaBillz, a local Bookkeeping firm noted “Compared to last year there weren’t that many people, likely because of the other events going on this weekend.”

This was the weekend of the Crush, a rather big deal in Eastern Washington after all….

The American Diabetes Association is the only non-profit organization supporting all 23.6 million Americans living with diabetes—including type 1 and type 2 diabetes; children and adults.
